Why I created Mohana Astrology

Jyotish has been my passion for last 35 years. It started when a very old book on Jyotish that belonged to my grandfather caught my attention when I was a child. I learnt whatever was in that book and carried on applying those only for close relatives and on myself. Whenever I visited any astrologer, all of them asked me one question, ‘You know it, why have you come here?’ This finally prompted me to formally learn Vedic Jyotish in depth. However, from the moment of ‘love at first sight’ it took 35 long years to give shape to that love.

Jyotish (Vedic astrology) helped me to realise why certain things happened to me when I never even dreamt of those whereas some of the things that I thought I wanted so much and tried to pursue, never materialised. The meaning of Jyotish is ‘The Divine Light’. This ancient Vedic science is meant for guiding our lives to its ‘True Destiny’ by understanding why we are here and what we are supposed to do to reach there.

Mohana Astrology is my humble effort in that direction. With the blessings of my spiritual Guru Shree Shree Mohanananda Bramhachari, our beloved ‘Maharaj’, I start my journey on this auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, the first day of Uttarayan.
