Jupiter has transited to Dhanishta nakshatra on 5 March 2021. Dhanishta is spread across two signs i.e. Capricorn and Aquarius.
While in Capricorn, Jupiter in Dhanishta will bring positivity in our lives, but there is a condition, that is if we are willing to work hard, get disciplined, abide by the laws and be responsible people. Till 29 March Jupiter’s nakshatra lord Mars is in tight spot in Taurus with Rahu. Once Mars degree-wise moves away from Rahu on 30 March Kaalsarpa will break and Jupiter will also start yielding the benefits of Neech Bhanga Raj Yoga. The result is economic and professional growth, economic reforms, boost in job market, property and real estate. However, you need to remember the conditions, hard work, discipline and being responsible. There can be some tension, agitation or anxiety in people as well. There can be a fear of some untoward manmade events or natural calamities related to earth quakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunami etc. between 5 March and 6 April.

Once Jupiter moves to the Aquarius part of Dhanishta on 6 April, the energy becomes much more pacified and easy going. It denotes growth, social reforms, scientific breakthroughs and spiritual progress. It brings hope and optimism. Large corporations or multinationals are going to work better with this transit. This phase will open up financial opportunities as well. The real estate market will see some good time after a long time. The growth will be slow but steady. There will be increased networking amongst people, people will be inclined to work together for social and financial causes. Jupiter in Dhanishta will promote music, performing art industry and film industry as well.
When in Aquarius, Jupiter’s dispositor Saturn and Rahu both are very well placed, one in the own sign of Capricorn and the other in the exalted sign of Taurus. So this is going to help Jupiter to perform at its best in Aquarius. The Nakshatra lord Mars, however, will not be well placed most of the time. Mars in Taurus with Rahu, in Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, none are the good placements for Mars. Even Mars in Scorpio can cause trouble. So this can actually cause some obstruction in executing the reform plans or growth prospects. There can be several distractions on the way.
From Aquarius side of Dhanishta Jupiter will aspect natural 3rd and 7th house. So this shows good time for consultants, writers, sales people, agencies, travel industry and professional partnerships. During the entire time of Jupiter in Dhanishta, we can expect overall steady growth, but as far as personal relations are concerned, we need to be careful in the matters of close relationships because Dhanishta is great for professional progress, networking, wealth and spirituality, but not really very conducive for personal relationships.
In general, you will feel the effects of this transit more than others:
- if you have any planet in Dhanishta or your ascendant is in Dhanishta
- If your Moon or ascendant is in any of the Mars or Jupiter’s nakshatra
- If your ascendant or Moon sign is a Mars or Jupiter’s sign, i.e. Aries, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces.
- if you are running Jupiter or Mars Mahadasha or Antardasha or even Pratyantar dasha,
- If you have Jupiter Mars conjunction or aspect in your birth chart
- If either of these planets are aspecting your Moon or ascendant.
