A whole lot of changes are happening in the sky in October, particularly in the second half of the month. Some of the changes are positive, while many are not. October is a month of paradigm shift. Sudden events can shake-up our lives. Let’s find out why.
The month begins on a positive note with Mercury going direct in Virgo on 2nd October. Jupiter is aspecting Mercury and Sun is also supporting Mercury in Virgo till the middle of the month. Considering the condition of other planets, this is a good sign for education, health, business and trade. Gemini ascendants and Moon signs are going to get a boost in their life and career. Virgo ascendants and Moon signs have been going through tremendous stress with retrograde lord in the ascendant, and with debilitated and combust Venus, Sun also being there; now you will feel some relief. However, anxiety related issues and financial stress will still be there. Mercury’s direct motion in Virgo is also very good for healing and health. Solution to the long standing health problems will come now. It is also a good time for those who are appearing in the competitive examinations before 26 October.

Venus is currently combust and is also debilitated from 24th of September. Time till 18 October can show major financial dip, difficulties in relationships and formal partnerships. The good part is Venus is getting support from powerful Mercury. Venus and Jupiter are in opposition. Venus will move to the Mooltrikon sign Libra on 18th October and will join Mercury, Ketu and the eclipsing Sun there. Saturn will also aspect Venus. Although Venus is powerful in Libra, presence of separative planets like Ketu, Sun and Saturn’s aspect does not help at all. Overall this month will prove quite challenging for business partnerships, wealth, property, vehicles, relationship matters, marriage and for some spouse’ health can also cause worry. When Venus goes combust, and afflicted by so many malefics the pure, softer side of love gets overpowered by lust and overindulgence in sensual pleasures. So be careful of that. Some mistakes done during this time can have difficult bearing on close relationships. All sorts of separative energies are working on Venus in Libra. Influence of Ketu and Saturn’s 10th aspect shows any disruption in life caused in the matters related to Venus during this time has direct connection with your past life deeds. Seen from another perspective, this energy will weed out the partnerships and people that are not working out in your life any more. Drive very carefully. Do not spend unnecessarily, the luxuries and indulgences can wait for better times. It would be best not to get married or even commit to a long term relationship during Venus’s combustion. Interestingly the day Venus moves to Libra, Ketu moves to Swati nakshatra, a nakshatra ruled by Rahu. Not only that on the eclipse day all four planets in Libra, i.e. Sun, Moon, Ketu and Venus will be in Swati. As I mentioned just now, both Ketu and the Sun will be in Swati nakshatra. Swati shows an eagerness to break free and an ability to survive in the toughest situation. The mind and the soul and the earthly bonds all in a way want to break free from the Karmic relations, past Karmic connnections and start afresh. This solar eclipse indicates that and denotes new beginnings for many in the next 3 to 4 months. The most impacted signs are Libra, Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio and Aries. People having major planets or ascendant in Swati or running Rahu’s phase will also feel the impact to some extent.
The next big event in October is Saturn’s direct motion on 23rd. This is a much awaited relief. If you have taken care of all the pending work that were supposed to be done during the retrogression and corrected your ways, you may look forward to a rewarding phase 23rd onwards. Things will move now. On the other hand, some major decision that was taken during Saturn’s retrogression, but not yet implemented on the global level, will now come into force. We are about to witness something major happening post 30th October. I am writing this considering the fact that Saturn is in Mars’ Nakshatra Dhanishta and Mars will go retrograde on 30th of October. Along with that the highly transformative solar eclipse, Venus’s combustion while being in Rahu-Ketu axis in the house and sign of relationship, all are indicating a major shake-up in our lives.
