On 15th March Mars has entered Aquarius and this has begun the Mars Saturn conjunction of 2024. Mars will remain in Aquarius till 23 April. The exact conjunction will happen on 10 and 11 April at 20 degree of Aquarius.
This is a difficult conjunction, no doubt about it. The month of March and April hosts a lot of difficult conjunctions, and this is one of those. Saturn and Mars are bitter enemies and the core energy of this conjunction is rise of frustration because things will not go as per your wish. Saturn is very powerful in Aquarius. In global perspective Mars represent the executive power of the Sun, like the police, armed forces. Saturn represents the common people, the working class, overall collective karma. In the personal chart Mars is the quick action, impulsiveness, dominance, vitality, fighting ability, be it against others or against diseases. Saturn is the disease, the lethargy, delay, lots and lots of patience and hard work.
Mars in the natural 11th house is a good transit. It promises good results for money, new work opportunities, promotions, and fulfilment of ambitions through hard work. However, here Mars will not only be in Saturn’s main turf, but Mars’ both signs Aries and Scorpio are also under Saturn’s grip, Saturn is aspecting both. So initially till almost end of March you will get these positive results. More so because Venus remains there in Aquarius till the end of March. If you have worked hard, this would be your time to manifest your rewards, gains and profits will be good too. This will be a great time for technical people. However, as Venus moves out of Aquarius on 1st April and Mars goes more towards Saturn and their degree distance becomes closer and closer, you will experience a slow down in the results. Some obstacles may pop up on your way. The promotion and increment that you have been expecting at work may get delayed. Widespread health issues can also be there. Increase of agitation and frustration will also be there. If you are the go getter type of a person, you need to take a step back and let this phase go, particularly from April. 5th and 6th April can be quite difficult for many because Moon will be passing over this conjunction on these two days. Additional caution will be required between 7th April and 15 April when Mars and Saturn will be in planetary war and will also form exact conjunction. You will feel that I have worked so hard, I need the rewards and I want it now, but Saturn hinders. Note that Saturn also wants to give you rewards, but you need to earn it, only then you will get. And seeing the enemy Mars closing in, Saturn would say, I shall give, but not without a fight and not so fast, not so easily, and not at all if you try to dominate me.
So understand that Mars does not stand much ground in Aquarius. The message is to have patience and self control. Outbursts of emotions, tendency to reap quick benefits, impulsive decisions, fights are not going to work. As Mars moves past Saturn, from third week of April you will feel that things are easing out a bit, things would begin to gain momentum again. During this whole transit you need to take care to avoid fights or ego tussles with elder family members and friends. This is not the time to lock horns with anyone. This is also not the time to establish your dominance and control over anyone.
